PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Mike Robertson has achieved national recognition in the retail area of real property law. His practice is concentrated on the representation of retailers in the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of retail properties. Mr. Robertson and his partner, John Elliott, have represented Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. since 1990. They were, and continue to be, heavily involved in the roll-out and expansion of the Barnes & Noble Superstore concept which began in the early 1990s. Mr. Robertson's general real estate practice includes the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial properties, including sale/leaseback transactions. Mr. Robertson is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has spoken at many legal seminars and workshops, including many ICSC Law Conferences. Mr. Robertson enjoys a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating in the real property practice area.
