PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Chris Bell has a diversified practice in the areas of commercial real estate, entity formation and general business. He is experienced in handling key aspects of most real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, leasing, development, debt and equity financing, and construction. These transactions involve all property types, from office, industrial, shopping center and small shop retail, to multifamily, residential subdivision and golf course. Mr. Bell also has extensive experience in issues related to partnerships, joint ventures, corporations and limited liability companies, including the formation of and investment in such entities for the acquisition and operation of real estate. In the area of general business, Mr. Bell has handled a wide variety of transactions, including the acquisition and sale of various types of businesses. He has extensive experience in general contract preparation, review and negotiation.
Mr. Bell has been a partner at Smith|Robertson since its inception in 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Bell was an associate at Drenner & Stuart, L.L.P. in Austin for five years and an associate at Brown McCarroll & Oaks Hartline, L.L.P. in Austin for three years.
