PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Michael Klein's practice involves general commercial litigation,
environmental litigation, class action litigation, trade secret litigation, construction litigation, governmental investigations and civil investigative demands, premises and employer liability matters, consumer protection litigation, personal injury litigation, general tort, insurance coverage issues, insurance bad faith and professional malpractice matters. Mr. Klein has tried over thirty matters to final award or judgment in his career, including numerous premises liability matters involving construction site accidents, physical assaults and sexual assaults. Mr. Klein has represented numerous high-tech companies in matters ranging from trade secret litigation to premises liability matters. Mr. Klein has also represented large healthcare and insurance clients in governmental investigations, declaratory judgment actions and injunctive matters involving the State of Texas, the Texas Department of Insurance and the Texas Department of Health. In 2004, 2005 and 2006 Texas Monthly named him a Super Lawyer. Before joining Smith|Robertson in
2001, Mr. Klein was a partner with Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P.,
where he practiced law for almost 19 years.
