LEE RIGBY PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Since joining Smith|Robertson, Lee Rigby's practice has focused on commercial litigation matters. Mr. Rigby has first chair trial experience and has tried cases in both State and Federal District Court. Mr. Rigby's litigation practice has focused on disputes involving real property, partnership disputes and derivative partnership litigation, complex litigation involving trade secrets and non-competition agreements, contract disputes, and representation of both landlord and tenants in lease disputes and litigation. In addition, Mr. Rigby was significantly involved in a Fair Housing Act lawsuit tried in February 2008 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin Division.

Mr. Rigby has handled litigation for clients outside the State of Texas in California, Arizona, Kansas and Illinois.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Rigby also practices with Smith|Robertson's Environment & Land Use group. Mr. Rigby's environmental practice focuses on regulation and litigation regarding land and natural resource use activities, including land development, wetlands development, and energy and water rights. This practice area centers on regulatory compliance arising under the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and other laws relating to the protection of natural resources.

Before joining Smith|Robertson, Mr. Rigby was an associate with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP in its Dallas office.

Prior to law school, Mr. Rigby lived abroad in Ecuador and traveled extensively in the Amazon basin.
