RUHL SERVES ON NAS KLAMATH BASIN COMMITTEE
In a capacity independent of the Firm, Of Counsel attorney J.B. Ruhl is serving as the legal advisor to the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Endangered and Threatened Fishes in the Klamath River Basin. The committee is charged with examining the scientific basis for water allocation restrictions imposed in the Klamath Basin pursuant to the Endangered Species Act for the protection of certain federally-protected species of fish. Recently, the committee issued its interim report which finds that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service reached scientifically unsupportable conclusions regarding the allocation restrictions imposed in the basin.

Mr. Ruhl is a Professor of Environmental Law at the Florida State University College of Law, and is also Of Counsel to Smith, Robertson, Elliott, Glen, Klein & Bell, LLP.
